The BMC Moerdijk power plant is located on the Moerdijk industrial area, surrounded by other energy producers and incinerators. The incinerator AZN is located next to BMC Moerdijk, which processes waste into electricity with the help of their neighbour’s cogeneration installation (of Essent). On the other side SNB burns sediment from sewage treatments from several water board districts.

The plant itself is located at one of the docks of the industrial area which means that it has a direct connection to the Hollands Diep canal. It is also connected to the railway infrastructure and is close to the highway A59. Because of this infrastructure the plant will be able to use several means of transportation in the future.
