At our power plant, we generate green energy with the smallest possible environmental impact. Through the thermal conversion of poultry manure, BMC Moerdijk reduces CO₂ emissions by an enormous amount every year. In this way, we contribute to the national and global climate goals and to a better future.

Adding value to poultry manure

BMC Moerdijk processes 420.000 tonnes of poultry manure into green energy every year. We do this with great attention for the quality of the poultry manure. The 400 supplying poultry farmers produce the energy for their own companies’ consumption as well as enough to provide for the energy consumption of 45.000 households.
